Nuclear waste can be hazardous for hundreds of years. From reactor
hardware to poison curtains, nuclear waste includes every radioactive
element. Reclassifying nuclear waste for BSFR is a set up to let it out
of regulatory control while turning a profit for a select few. Nuclear
waste is not household waste and should not be treated like ordinary
garbage.

Built in 1958, NASA’s Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio was one of
America’s 10 largest reactors for nuclear research. Now,
with more than 80 percent of it dismantled, Ohio is turning to
Tennessee to dump their radioactive waste here. It is estimated that
about 100 million pounds of nuclear waste will be dumped into ordinary
Tennessee landfills.
For years, Tennessee has allowed states across the country to dump
their nuclear waste in ordinary Tennessee landfills.
Through a secretive, closed- door process known as Bulk Survey for
Release, Tennessee regulators and elected officials have sold out
Tennessee families for pennies. For each pound of nuclear waste,
Tennessee makes two cents. Is your health worth twocents?
